Biography
With over three decades of experience in private wealth management, Akshay has built and led successful wealth businesses across some of the world’s most prestigious financial institutions — including Citibank, Deutsche Private Bank, and Kotak Securities. During his 22-year tenure at Citibank, Akshay held leadership roles across Bahrain, Dubai, and Singapore, most recently heading the Global Indian Business, Middle East and Africa markets. He managed high-performing teams and drove strategic growth across diverse client segments.
Akshay brings deep expertise in capital markets, investments, foreign exchange, legacy planning, and portfolio construction, with a strong focus on developing differentiated value propositions for clients. Renowned for his strategic leadership and ability to build high-performing teams, he brings strong proficiency in risk management, regulatory compliance, and anti–money laundering frameworks.
He began his career in 1995 with Kotak Securities, leading Private Client Services for North India, and later joined Deutsche Bank Private Bank as a Relationship Manager and Team Leader.
A qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant, Akshay combines financial acumen with a client-first approach, consistently driving excellence and integrity in wealth management.
